Some fish finish an aquarium. Others make you start planning another one.
This week’s freshwater arrivals at Elegant Reef bring a little of both! From Blue Diamond discus and elaborate specialty bettas to tiny schooling fish and colorful shrimp. If you’ve been waiting for something different, this is a good weekend to take a closer look.
Small Fish, Big Color
You don’t need a giant aquarium to create something beautiful. This week’s selection includes Chili Rasboras ($8), Clown Killifish ($7), Gertrudae Spotted Blue-Eye Rainbowfish ($6), and Pygmy Corys ($7).
Looking to build up a school? We also have White Cloud Minnows ($3), Neon Tetras ($3.99), Green Neon Tetras ($5), and Rummy Nose Tetras ($5).
Find Your Next Favorite Betta
There’s plenty to explore beyond the usual colors this week. Our specialty betta selection includes Blue Starlight Plakats ($58), Red Koi Copper Plakats ($45), Yellowjackets ($30), and Mustard & Blue Rosetails ($35).
We also have Giant Males ($60), Male Nemos ($45), and female varieties including Koi ($17), Delta Super Dumbo Ears ($15), and Black Samurai Plakats ($30). Come see the individual colors and patterns in person—you may find the one you didn’t know you were looking for.
Four Ways to Fall for Discus
Blue Diamond, Pigeon Blood Yellow, Red Wine, and Scorpion Blue discus are here at $125 each. For aquarists with a suitable setup, these are beautiful fish to build a display around.
Something a Little Different
Burmese Clouded Archerfish ($55), Ornate Bichirs ($75), Black Ghost Knifefish ($25), and Indian Dwarf Mudskippers ($18) give specialty aquarium keepers plenty to get excited about.
These animals have particular housing, adult-size, or habitat requirements. Talk with our team about the right setup before choosing your new addition.
