Routine maintenance

Enjoy your aquarium while we help you keep up with water changes, algae removal, and equipment cleaning. Whether you need ongoing maintenance or help catching up, we’ll discuss your setup and recommend a scope of service and visit frequency.

Depending on your aquarium and the agreed scope, service can include:

• Water changes
• Algae removal and viewing-panel cleaning
• Equipment and filtration maintenance
• Filter-media replacement
• Livestock additions or removals
• Delivery of aquarium water, food, and supplies

Have a concern about how your aquarium is running? Let us know when you call so we can plan for it.

Aquarium planning, installation & upgrades

There’s more to a new aquarium than choosing the tank. We can help you plan the equipment, filtration, and layout, then handle installation and setup.

Already purchased a system or looking to improve the one you have? Tell us what you’re working with and what you want to accomplish. We can help with equipment installation and upgrades, too.

From a home aquarium to a display for your business, let’s talk through your idea.

Aquarium moves & relocations

Moving an aquarium takes preparation—even when it’s only going across the room.

We can help relocate aquariums within a property or to a new location. Share the tank’s dimensions, where it’s going, and any stairs or access challenges so we can plan the crew and equipment needed.

A service team backed by an aquarium store

Elegant Reef is both a tropical fish store and an aquarium service business. Our team works with freshwater and saltwater livestock, equipment, food, and supplies. We also produce RO/DI and premixed saltwater at our San Antonio store.

You have a place to visit and people to talk with as your aquarium’s needs change—from regular maintenance to equipment upgrades and new livestock.

Service pricing

Labor is $99 per hour, per technician. A one-hour minimum applies to service visits.

Most routine maintenance visits are handled by one technician. For multiple aquariums or larger projects, we may recommend additional technicians to complete the work more efficiently. When a project calls for a larger crew, labor is billed at $99 per hour for each technician.

A drive-out charge applies. Water, livestock, replacement media, equipment, and other supplies are additional when needed.

Your estimate will reflect your location, the work involved, and the crew required. Contact us for an estimate.
